Grinding and Polishing

It is recommended for busy areas whose floor has gradually lost its natural shine and has been damaged over time.

The polishing technique is used with floors which are so damaged that a buffing treatment is not enough to restore it. Polishing your floor will restore your surfaces, since it removes a few millimetres of the upper damaged layers and reveals the undamaged layers that are underneath.

The machinery used by Filo Pulimentos Marbella has diamond discs with different grain-size distribution (with higher or lower resistance to abrasion) depending on the damage of your floors. If your flooring has minor damage it is possible to apply a micro-polishing or a diamond polishing treatment. After polishing the floor it is necessary to buff it.

Grinding is a technique used to join floor joints and also to make the floor even and to remove the imperfections of floor tiles.

Grinding is used to remove approximately 3 mm of the upper layer of the floor, which removes imperfections and stains and which also levels and makes the floor even.

This technique makes the floor look like new.

As with polishing, we use specific machinery with industrial diamond discs for this purpose.
